24 Interviews - Louis Lombardi
Edgar Stiles, played by Louis Lombardi, had a gigantic impact on the show. He saved America in Season Four, and helped out at CTU during Season Five; until his dramatic death at the hands of the Sentox Nerve Gas. The actor talks here in a Second Wave Exclusive!
Second Wave: How long have you been a fan of the show?
Louis Lombardi: Started watching the show in the 4th season.
SW: What is your favourite thing about 24?
LL: The timeline.
SW: What encouraged you to take a role on 24?
LL: It was one of the best shows on television and the role was one of the most different I had ever played.
SW: What was your favourite thing about playing “Edgar Stiles”?
LL: How smart he was. |

SW: What was the most interesting experience you had on the set of 24?
LL: Meeting Senator John McCain. He kept calling me Edgar and saying “how sad he was for my mother”.. And I was like my name is Louie. He would be like “ok Edgar”.
SW: In your opinion, what was the best thing you got to do whilst playing “Edgar”?
LL: Standing on the stage of the Emmys.
SW: How do you think fans reacted to your character?
LL: Saddened and loved.

SW: Do you still get recognised for played “Edgar Stiles”?
LL: Everywhere and anywhere. The fans are the best. They still yell “Edgar I cried when you died”. All ages and genders. It’s GREAT! I feel like the adopted son of America.
SW: Did you enjoy your time on the show?
LL: Yes. One of the best jobs I ever had.

SW: One final question: If you met Jack Bauer again, what would you say to him?
LL: Why didn't you open the door. HA!
