Habib Marwan's helicopter could not lift off sooner as the pilot said the engine had to get ready for a few moments. However, Jack's helicopter did not appear to have to warm up in this way, as they were up in the air straight away.
Jack's conversation with President Palmer was 59 seconds long. According to Michelle, Jack could have been traced after at least one more second of talking.
David Palmer: Jack Bauer would never compromise national security.
Walt Cummings: As much as I'd like to believe that, everybody breaks.
David Palmer: What you believe is irrelevant.
Jack Bauer: Mr. President, you saved my life.
David Palmer: I'm only sorry it came to this.
Jack Bauer: Me too, sir. I just wanted to let you know that I was out.
Daiv Palmer: I'm glad.
(sighs) This is probably the last time we'll ever speak. Jack, you do understand, when you hang up, for all intents and purposes, Jack Bauer's dead.
Jack Bauer: I understand that, sir. Mr. President, it's been an honor.
Daiv Palmer: Same for me, my friend.
