The opening train crash was originally written as two trains colliding. This was deemed too expensive, and was changed to the train crashing into a pickup truck.
Faran Tahir appeared previously in Day 2: 6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. as the Mosque Greeter. It's possible that he was the same character. If you look closely at his profile, you can see that he was a member of Second Wave, the terrorist organization from Day 2.
KRLH, the TV station the Araz family is watching, are actually call letters for a religious radio station in southern California.
Ronnie goes into the dry cleaner and sets down the two-direction camera. He's clearly behind the camera and should appear in its "rear view," but back at CTU the rear view monitor shows no sign of him.
Chloe O'Brian: As usual, Edgar, we can't hear you. Also, where's your laptop in case you need to pull data?
Edgar Stiles: I'm sorry, I'll speak up. And, uh, I don't need my laptop, I have everything memorized.
Jack Bauer: (Reading the information transcript about the train bombing) It calls for an eight o'clock strike unless target deviates. That doesn't make sense. Trains don't deviate; they're on a fixed course and schedule.
Chloe O'Brian: Sometimes when INTERPOL's breaking codes in comminques, it won't use the exact wording. What are you thinking, Jack?
Jack Bauer: Sherek didn't come here for a train bombing. Something is going to happen at eight o'clock.
