| Synopsis |
George Mason returns to find CTU in shambles and orders Paula Schaeffer to be resuscitated because she contains vital information. Kim Bauer takes Megan Matheson to the hospital, but the staff there learns of the abuse. David Palmer fires Eric Rayburn. Jack Bauer locates Joseph Wald, the leader of the terrorist cell, and discovers who gave him the plans to CTU.

George Mason: (scoffs) I'm used to that. George Mason: Hendrix.
Tony Almeida: That's with an X?
George Mason: How else would you spell it? David Palmer: (To Eric Rayburn) If the bomb goes off, we'll have more important concerns than my re-election.
